Bladder Water Tanks

A quality bladder tank or a rainwater tank is very beneficial  to the householder  as well as to the environment. These under house tanks are ideal for storing the rainwater which otherwise would have simply been wasted.  The space saving feature is also a real advantage  as these tanks do not take up any extra space on the roof or anywhere else. These tanks have proven to be better than the conventional tanks made from plastic or metal.

Benefits of Using Rainwater Bladder Tank for Water Storage

  • Instead of rainwater being wasted it has many uses.
  • Saves on consumption of ground water as this need is satisfied by the rainwater in the tanks.
  • Cuts down on water bills and adds hundreds to your savings.
  • Rebates are given by the government for buying and using bladder tanks as they are environmentally friendly
  • Rainwater tank adds to the value of your home as it is a plus.
  • Local councils give subsidies to homes  which  do not depend heavily on mains water.
  • These under house water tanks do not take up cherished space on the roof or the house.
  • This water tank provides a good supply of water during the dry and hot summer months when dam levels are low .

Why a Bladder Tank is better than other Water Tanks?

While water storage tanks can be of poly, steel, plastic or any other material, a bladder tank has certain decided advantages over other materials.

  • It provides an uncomplicated storage solution that does not take up space whereas solid tanks make of plastic or metal need plenty  of space.
  • These tanks are made of reinforced plastic or rubber bags which can be laid out flat in the space until they are filled up and so they do not take up any space when they are flat.
  • These pillow tanks are extremely puncture resistant and long-lasting, lasting longer than conventional tanks.
  • These tanks are ideally under deck water tanks where they do not impose on the space usable.
  • They can be used for storing water used for a variety of purposes like drinking, bathing, flushing, cleaning and even gardening. This way the mains water is not used  at all.
  • They come in different  sizes depending on the need of the house.
  • They can be simply installed where other water tanks will not fit.
  • This water tank can also be portable and carried around, when required, in a pick up truck.

Rainwater bladder tanks are definitely the best option in all aspects . Being rainwater tanks, they can make use of the rain water and save mains water, thereby, being environmentally friendly. Also the flexibility of the material of these tanks ensures that as under house water tank, they take up less space and are not visible. The rubber used to make such tanks is very durable and does not puncture or rust like other materials. These tanks can even be carried around easily whenever necessary, especially when moving house.

A Boom in the Rainwater Tank Industry

With the general community seemly more environmentally aware and worried about global warming, they are trying to do their bit to help.Installing a water tank is an excellent way to reduce mains water practice and decrease water run-off down the stormwater drain.

Australia has only just come out of an extended drought period but many parts of the country are still suffering the effects.  The effects of the drought in rural areas have flowed onto the metropolitan areas. A lot of Australia’s major cities have severe water restrictions.

Until recently, many people in rural areas had never run out of rainwater in their water tank. But now they have to buy larger water tanks as a backup supply to compliment their existing stocks of drinkable rainwater.

Water restrictions imposed by the government, local councils and water government are now something every consumer has become accustomed to. Water restrictions have become necessary with Australia’s population growth and global warming stretching our precious water reserves to their limits.

A few years ago many local governments, councils and water authorities introduced a water tank rebate scheme to encourage the general public to invest in their own rainwater tank. Instead of the Government having to build new dams, they would prefer installation of rainwater tanks as a water collection method.  It is also better for our environment not to have so much water run-off that alters the water table and natural flow of rivers.

The introduction of water tank rebates sparked a boom in the water tank manufacturing business with many environmentally conscious people installing a couple of water tanks. This has sparked a huge rise in water tank manufacturing companies on the east coast of Australia in order to cope with the huge demand driven by the new urban market.

The bubble in the rainwater tanks boom has now detonated and there is an over-supply of water tank providers. This is great for the consumer but not for the smaller struggling water tank manufacturers. Many small family owned manufacturers and resellers have closed due to fierce competition.

The rainwater tanks boom has been phenomenal for the plumbing industry. It is law to have your water tank installed by a licensed plumber if it is to be used to flush the toilet and plumb into the laundry to use in the washing machine.  In order to receive the utmost water tank rebate offered by the government, it is also compulsory to have a plumber sign off on the installation of the water tank.

The introduction of the BASIX regulations has been another incentive for the rainwater tank industry. BASIX is the building sustainability index, which is an assessment tool developed by the NSW Government, to ensure that natural resources such as energy and water are preserved.

Simply, BASIX is intended to reduce the impact of new lodging on the environment. The BASIX tool presently assesses the probable performance of planned new housing against various sustainability indices, including landscape, stormwater, water, thermal comfort and energy.

All new developments have to comply with the BASIX regulations, which include the installation of a water tank for every new house or major renovation. Builders and developers are now lining up to buy rainwater tanks in order to have their buildings comply with new regulations and to be signed off by local authorities.

Due to the boom in the rainwater tank industry, builders are finding they are not able to get a water tank delivered as quickly as they need.

Some water tank manufacturers are in such demand that waiting up to 12 weeks for delivery for rainwater tanks is common. A 12 week wait for water tanks is to the extreme but a wait of 2 to 3 weeks is more common.

If you are lucky enough to find a water tank supplier with the rainwater tank you want in stock, it will be a lot quicker but you may not always get a choice of where your fittings are positioned and the choice of colours may be limited. In order to avoid this, it is best to order your rainwater tank well in advance.

Water tanks are here to stay; they are not a passing trend. Rainwater tanks are soon becoming common place in the backyard. They are environmentally friendly and it’s a very liberating feeling to be able to use the rainwater accumulated off your roof that would otherwise simply go down the drain.

Can You Make You Own Hydrogen Car?

Arthur Maxwell asked:

Can you make you own hydrogen car? Hydrogen cars are the answer that many hope will answer the growing fuel crisis in America. Most people think of hydrogen cars as being a really expensive new innovation that’s going to revolutionize the auto industry, but what most motorists need is a hydrogen generator, or an HHO. These are easy to build and install in your vehicle, thus allowing you to make you own hydrogen car. There are some hydrogen generator kits that are expensive, but you don’t need a particularly expensive kit to work with. Hydrogen generators offer a lot of benefit to your car’s performance and the surrounding environment.

HHO gets its name from the chemical compound for water, H2O. This is how a hydrogen generator really works. The kits use a process that was invented by a man called Yull Brown. The process, called electrolysis, works by using an electric current to split apart the molecules of water into their hydrogen and oxygen atoms to create the two individual gases. What happens next is that these gases are then sent through the air that’s already being pumped into your car’s engine through the air pump, adding to the fumes that are being burned in order to produce the heat needed to work the engine. In other words, if you switch partially to an HHO kit, you’re actually partially fuelling your car with water. Now, because of how much storage extra water tanks take, and how much weight it adds to the car’s total, you can’t switch completely to this method, but you can get a good boost in your performance and mileage – sometimes up to 50% in gas mileage. This means that you pay half as much at the pump, if that.

There are other benefits to using an HHO generator. For one, you can make your engine more efficient, because when you burn gasoline, residue builds up in the engine and causes it to become more inefficient over time. Water vapor leaves no such residue. Also, hydrogen and oxygen are two elements that naturally occur in the atmosphere, unlike carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, which is what normal car exhaust is. Another benefit is that you may qualify for tax credits from the IRS. The government is currently encouraging green initiatives with fuel and other lifestyle elements, so they’re offering incentives such as tax credits to people who decide to pursue green options.

Anybody with a basic knowledge of cars and mechanical tools can build and install an HHO generator from a hydrogen generator kit. In fact, you can make your own, though it’s better to have one with a condenser. All you need is a container with distilled water, electrical wire, rubber hose and baking soda. These kits can be removed from your car just as easily as they’re added, with no danger to your warranty.

You too can make you own hydrogen car. Hydrogen generators have plenty of benefits to the environment, your car, and also your wallet, because you’re cutting down on both emissions and what you have to pay for at the pump. There are plenty of guides available online on how to build a hydrogen generator with the materials listed above, and they’re inexpensive to obtain.
